Bandai 1/100 MG GUNDAM SEED SERIES: GAT X-303 Aegis Gundam (BAN5062907)
The GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam is a transformable Mobile Suit created for the Earth Alliance’s G Project, which sought the creation of experimental prototype Mobile Suits to turn the tide in their conflict with ZAFT. The GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam was among the prototypes stolen by ZAFT, captured by Athrun Zala during the Battle of Heliopolis. Athrun and the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam would lead ZAFT’s new elite Mobile Suit team in pursuit of the Archangel Battleship and the Aile Strike Gundam. The GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam’s transformable frame can create two different Mobile Armor forms, Cruise Mode and Attack mode. Cruise Mode provides a significant boost to acceleration and maneuverability. Attack Mode gives the pilot access to the “Scylla” 580mm Multi-Phase Energy Cannon, one of the most devastating Mobile Suit-equipped weapons at the time of its construction.
Included alongside the MG Aegis Gundam for accessories:
- 60mm High Energy Beam Rifle
- Shield
- Beam Effect x4
- 1/100 Athrun Zala Figure
- Action Base Adapter
Articulation –
The MG Aegis Gundam features a complete internal construction comprised almost entirely of new parts, providing a fully transformable while maintaining the characteristics shared amongst the G Project Mobile Suits. The MG Aegis Gundam utilizes double-jointed limbs and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses! The instructions will have builders assemble the MG Aegis Gundam in Mobile Suit mode, with supplemental instructions to achieve both Mobile Armor modes.
Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –
The GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam sorties with the 60mm High Energy Beam Rifle for use as its primary weapon in Mobile Suit form. Builders can fold the Beam Rifle’s handle and attach it to the side skirt armor for storage. This weapon can also connect to the inside of the Mobile Suit’s Shield. There are two beam emitters attached to the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam’s forearms and two additional emitters protruding from the Mobile Suit’s feet. Bandai included a set of beam effects to recreate the activated beam weapons!
